A friend of mine recently went on a ride-along with her local fire department. She asked me if I would make some cookies for her to give to the station house as a way to express her gratitude. Yay! Of course I will!
As you may or may not know, I just recently began this cookie making adventure. Which means I do not have too many cookie cutters to work with yet. I had about one week to make these cookies and no firetruck cookie cutter. I searched all of the craft stores in my area. The only firetruck cutter I found was in a box with 100 other cutters AND it was TINY. Long story short- I HAND CUT these babies, hydrants AND trucks.
I am thankful my friend thought of cookies as a way to say "thank you" and that she asked me to make them. Although I was a little nervous...what colors should they be? How detailed should they be? Do you know how nerve racking it is making a firetruck cookie for a fireman? I fretted for HOURS until finally my hubs said, "It is a COOKIE Babe, they are gonna love it". He's right.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, Your cookies look amazing. Do you have - could you point me in the direction of a nice cookie recipe. Yours looked great and looked like they didn't spread to much, they still look perfect. I want to try make these, my boyfriend is a fireman. Thanks, Miranda, from New Zealand.
